Running with Ed Relay

This running relay is a Park City tradition with a scenic course that passes Olympic venues, landmarks, and historic Main Street with easy and tough legs for all levels of runners. Teams of five, ten, or even just two runners can run the 38-mile, 10-leg race on May 21, and unlike longer relays, you’ll get to race, attend the after-party with beer garden and kid activities, and still finish in time for a night in or on the town!


Yellowstone Half Marathon

Vacation Races ascribes to the idea of running where you play and puts on races in scenic destinations near national parks like Zion, Grand Canyon, and Rocky Mountain National Park. This Yellowstone half marathon and 5K on June 10–11 stands out because the course is just a mile from the park entrance and offers post-race club hike challenges that net you extra prizes! Run the 5K and half marathon the next day to receive the Bison Double bonus medal and extra Bison Double swag.

Tour of Utah: Ultimate Challenge

Pro cyclists travel from around the world to compete in the Tour of Utah, but even if you’re not a pro, you can get in on the action at The Ultimate Challenge. Called America’s toughest one-day amateur cycling adventure, racers ride the same mountainous course as the professionals with over 10,000 feet of elevation gain. If you’re not game for the Full course, sign up for the Short or Half. Held Saturday, August 6 on same day and course as Tour of Utah, Stage 6.


Altra Top of Utah Marathon Race

Runners rate this as a Utah favorite year after year. Half Marathon is August 27 and Marathon, Marathon Relay, and 5K are September 17. The first 14 miles of the marathon are down beautiful Blacksmith Fork Canyon near Logan where you’ll see fall leaves, rivers, and canyon vistas. Half marathon follows the marathon course from Mile 7-21.These well-organized races are known for their festive finish lines, moose medals, and incredible moose trophies for winners! The net elevation drop of 1,045 feet.

Goldilocks Provo

After being plagued by bad weather one to many times, this women’s-only bike and running event has moved dates and locations! Goldilocks will now offer 20, 40, 60, 80, or 100-mile rides in Provo on September 24, and 5K, 10K, or half marathon runs. Routes begin and end near Utah Lake and take place on safe, rural roads. Fully supported with aid stations and SAG vehicles, catered meal, and free event photos and finisher jewelry.

North Face Endurance Challenge

Get off the road and into the mountains at this fall trail race series in Park City from September 24-25. Features races for all ability levels on Park City Mountain Resort’s scenic, challenging trails amidst fall colors on courses that finish with a festival at the resort base. Just choose your day and distance! Saturday: 50-mile, 50K, Marathon, Marathon Relay, and Kids Run. Sunday: Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Kids’ Run.
