New York City Marathon TODAY + Brooks’ NYC Running Shoe

0
By Jenny Willden on November 2, 2014 Race Reports, Running

The New York City Marathon is this Sunday, November 2, 2014! Since the Big Apple is a bit far from Utah, it’s tough for us to take a bite of the action. Luckily, you can catch it all LIVE on TV and your mobile device.  Over 50,000 people will be running, including racing legends like Boston Marathon winner, Meb Keflezighi, and Kenyans Geoffrey Mutai and Wilson Kipsang, who claim this is their year to break the course record.

Here are the details on how to watch it from the marathon’s website:

  • In the NYC metro area: Watch the live broadcast on ABC7 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pre-race features begin at 7:00 a.m. Live streaming available on WatchABC and 7online.com from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm.
  • Across the country: Live coverage on ESPN2 and WatchESPN from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST. Additional coverage  on ESPN3 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. EST and 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST, available only at WatchESPN.com and through the WatchESPN app. The broadcast will also be aired live in Spanish on ESPN Deportes from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST. Miss it in the morning? Watch the highlight show on your local ABC station from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
  • On mobile devices: Broadcast available live on tablets or smartphones with WatchABC in New York and WatchESPN nationwide. Download the app in the App Store or Google Play store. Access to WatchABC and WatchESPN is available through participating TV providers.

Brooks Releases Limited Edition Freedom Adrenaline GTS for NYC Marathon

nycmarathonshoeEven if you can’t make it to the Big Apple’s biggest race this year, you can still run with Lady Liberty on your feet with this limited edition pair of the Adrenaline GTS 15, a stable training shoe. The seamless liner and cushy support make for a comfortable ride, and you can’t beat the unique Statue of Liberty and NYC-inspired graphics.

You can only buy this special shoe at limited retailers near and NYC and (gratefully for those living in Utah) online on Brooks’ website. Retails for $130. Go get a pair before they sell out everywhere!
