Santaguin, UT. Starting in the quiet town of Santaquin the course goes down to Mona on a nice rolling section of road. From there you’ll turn and head back north with a great view of Mona Lake and Mt. Nebo. You’ll also get to enjoy little Goshen Canyon, one of the hidden canyons in this area that is rarely traveled. A nice tour of the farm fields of Goshen and Elberta the course will then take you to Hwy6 and up the first climb to Eureka. As soon as you reach Eureka the downhill starts giving you a rest and exhilarating speed. Outside Eureka there is a continued drop with rollers on a nearly car-less road with smooth, fast pavement all the way to the little town of Vernon. Along this section is the beautiful, wild, untouched, open land of Utah as it has looked for centuries. The course turns around at Vernon before heading back to Eureka on the same roads. All that elevation drop is now the climbing. Don’t worry, once to Eureka you can enjoy the fast drop back down to Elberta continuing on to Santaquin where there is a small climb before dropping into the city and onto the finish.
