Eagle Mountain to Wendover, UT. We’re riding across the West Desert, stupid! Two hundred plus miles in a single sitting across the Pony Express trail nearly to the NV border through some of the most scenic and deserted land in the continental US. That’s right, we’re going to willing pull our meats across a place so dry, unpopulated, and remote that it’s home to one of America’s only chemical weapons testing areas. We won’t be riding through that, mind you, just don’t lick anything along the way. You won’t see any bombs getting tested, but you will see antelope in the tens-to-hundreds, ranches, volcanic formations, those weird spots that happen when you don’t drink enough water, and a bigger and more merciless sky than you knew encircled this humble earth. I’m confident no one’s making it home before sunset, so bring your lights and bring equipment that can handle a beating.
