The theme for National Park Week 2018 is “Park Stars,” celebrating everything from starry skies to superstar volunteers, park features, and resources.

April 21
o Fee-Free Day – free entry to all National Park Service sites.
o National Junior Ranger Day – some parks have special activities planned. Kids of all ages can connect with parks in fun and engaging ways.
o Volunteer Day – part of National Volunteer Week, celebrating and honoring the great contributions of national park volunteers
April 22
o Earth Day – honor the Earth and all it offers by participating in fun activities like the trek to the wilderness breach at Fire Island National Seashore.
April 28
o Military & Veteran Recognition Day – highlighting opportunities to discover our military history and engage with our military today.
o Free annual park pass for current U.S. military members and dependents
April 29
o Closing out the week with National Park Rx Day – celebrating a growing movement of prescribing parks and nature to patients to improve their health and well-being.
