Running Up For Air (aka RUFA) is an endurance mountain challenge that was created to raise money in support of the fight for improved air quality for those who live along the Wasatch Front. Running Up For Air – Grandeur – is a 6, 12, or 24-hour winter endurance challenge that takes place on Grandeur Peak in the Wasatch Mountains. The event was created in 2012 to raise money in support of the fight for improved air quality for those who live along the Wasatch Front.  The race is simply stated, run from the Church Fork picnic area up to the summit of Grandeur Peak (at 8,299′ elevation) and back as many times as possible in the allotted time.
