Half Distance Added for the 19th Annual Las Vegas Triathlon

The iconic Las Vegas Triathlon, previously operated by Mountain Man Events, is BBSC’s newest addition!

Welcome to the 19th year of the Las Vegas Triathlon. We are excited to be adding a new Half distance triathlon to this iconic race. The race will now take place on the first Saturday of October, located entirely within Lake Mead National Park. The bike course offers wide bike lanes and low traffic. The run will take you from rocky Boulder Beach to the paved River Mountain Trail, leading south towards the Historic Railroad Trail. The race venue is located just miles from famous vacation destinations, including the Las Vegas Strip and the Hoover Dam.

Course Highlight: The Las Vegas Triathlon will begin with an early morning swim in the pristine waters of Lake Mead, followed by a spectacular and hilly bike course through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The run will contain unpaved desert terrain trail and concrete paths, as it leads you to the River Mountain Loop Trail and Historic Railroad Hiking Trail.

The water temperature of Lake Mead is generally 75 degrees F in early October.

Here’s your chance to save money on the races you love! When you register for all 3 Vegas races(Rage, Las Vegas Tri, Pumpkinman) at the same time, you will receive an extra $20 off your total. Discount applied at check-out and will only be available for triathlon distances.

Parking – Parking will only be allowed on the north side of the two access roads. Please follow parking officials directions.

Park Entrance Fee – If you do not have an annual Lake Mead park pass or National park pass, you will be required to pay the national park entrance fee on race morning.

Avoid the hassle (and $10 fee) of picking up your packet on race morning. Plan to attend our pick-up hours at McGhie’s in Henderson on Friday before the race.
