Basic Wilderness Life Support Certification Class
Learn how to prevent and treat injuries or illnesses common in outdoor activities in this one-day certification course on July 25 from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake REI. The course includes morning lectures at REI about preparing for outings, assessing injuries, deciding whether to treat or evacuate a patient and evacuation methods. The afternoon will include hands-on scenarios outside, weather permitting. At the end of the day you’ll receive a Basic Wilderness Life Support certificate. Tuition is $95.
